About the Role:
Team: Xitricon AI Platform Engineering
Reporting To: Head of AI Platform Engineering
As an AI Engineer in the AI Platform Engineering team, you will design, build, and deploy AI capabilities that power enterprise AI platforms and domain-specific AI assistants across multiple industries. This role sits at the intersection of LLMs, data, platforms, and enterprise systems, and requires strong engineering discipline combined with practical AI implementation experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement AI components within enterprise AI platforms, including LLM-based solutions.
- Build and optimize LLM orchestration workflows, including prompt engineering, chaining, and tool integration.
- Develop and maintain retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines using structured and unstructured enterprise data.
- Integrate AI capabilities with internal enterprise systems such as CRM, ERP, knowledge bases, and APIs.
- Work closely with platform architects to ensure scalability, reliability, and security of AI solutions.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and evaluation mechanisms for AI performance, quality, and cost.
- Support deployment across cloud or on-prem environments and contribute to continuous improvement of the AI platform
- Collaborate with Security and Governance teams to embed explainability and human-in-the-loop controls.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong programming skills in Python (mandatory).
- Hands-on experience with LLMs such as Gemini, Azure OpenAI, and open-source models.
- Experience implementing RAG architecture, vector databases, and embeddings.
- Familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks like LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or similar tools.
- Experience working with APIs, microservices, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and containerized deployments.
- Basic understanding of MLOps / DevOps practices including CI/CD, monitoring, and versioning.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with conversational AI platforms.
- Knowledge of data privacy, security, or compliance considerations in AI systems.
- Experience working in regulated industries.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering, data science, or AI engineering roles.
- Strong engineering fundamentals with applied AI experience.
- Curiosity to learn and adapt to a fast-evolving AI landscape.
- Clear communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
